Hi, I’m Ashley.
It’s so nice to meet you.
I am the granddaughter of Patricia and Simonne.
Patricia was a nurse from the age of 20. From her, I got my passion to caretake, support and nurture those around me.
Simonne was a strong woman who raised five children, mostly on her own. I inherited her fierce spirit and fiery attitude.
I am the daughter of Wendy and Richard.
In addition to genetics, my mom has passed on her zest for life and her ability to do multiple things at once, making it look like a breeze.
I cherish the love my dad has for me and never miss his “Friday, I love you” phone calls. From him, I am reminded life can be so simple, yet so fulfilling.
I am the older sister of Max, and proof that older sisters do tend to turn into therapists. From my brother, I learnt how to stand tall and go after what I’m passionate about.
These special people have shaped who I have become – a Registered Psychotherapist, Yoga Teacher and Trainer, Breathwork Facilitator, Sagittarius ;) and the Founder of The Feelosophy Supportive Touch Methodology for yoga teachers and health practitioners.
I long for a world where we are at peace with ourselves, where we can seek comfort in community and reach out for a hug from a stranger. I believe in the power of movement, mindfulness, breath and supportive touch. I crave freedom and am constantly seeking adventure, nature and a moment in the water.
“It doesn’t interest me where or what or with who you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.”
From the poem, The Invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer
What sustains me
For me, my yoga practice, journaling, time in nature, my partner, my family, deep belly laughs with friends, and the reminder that I am my own home is what sustains me. Oh, and also buttered popcorn because who doesn’t love a salty snack.
Now you know what makes me feel the most me. If you’re curious where I studied and why I’m qualified to be a psychotherapist, here are my certifications and qualifications:
